Pathway to Phytotechnology: A major funding initiative

From green roofs to hedgerows and living walls; from filter marshes to phytoremediation and plant-based rainwater management systems, not to mention the rehabilitation of degraded sites and green islands that counter the effects of heat islands, phytotechnology will contribute to the growing use of clean technologies in Quebec in the coming years.

The idea of funding a ground-breaking project that would help develop phytotechnology received strong support from the Board, making it its priority for 2015.

Joining forces, the Foundation and the city of Montréal are investing $15 million in a new initiative at the Botanical Garden called Pathway to Phytotechnology, to be carried out from 2016 to 2023.
